Techniques

Acrylic on Canvas

This most of common type of painting, is one technique that I have been working with for as long as I can remember. Some of the first types of mediums taught by my art teacher in Jr and High School. I still to this day attempt to reproduce the vibrant colors reached by oils but I must admit it may be an impossible task?

Watercolor

I remember working with watercolors back in the days and it was not my cup of tea. I found that in watercolor the colors are extremely hard to mix as most of the medium that you work on is paper and this becomes very saturated and curls the paper. I think that watercolors is one of the most unforgiving of mediums very challenging to go light once you have saturated an area.

Illustration

Illustration is definitely one of my favorites types of art techniques. It usually involves permanent markers and various other types of water based markers. Here I find myself being able to create rich vibrant colors that make the images pop. Look forward to adding my airbrushing techniques here.

Digital Art

The future is here. This is a new field and one that has so many facets to it. So many directions and programs to learn. This is just working in 2 dimension now add to this the whole new world of 3d animation and VR and WOW, magic is made. Immersive experiences is the ultimate goal.

Current Projects

Poisoning of the MIND and A Tribute to Nature

The first images have emerged from a place of “Darkness”. A place of pain and confusion. A place of sorrow. A place on the brink of madness. Illustrations and paintings that express what the heart feels when the mind has become Poisoned with the raw emotions of betrayal. Whether real or made up, the pain that the mind can inflict on the heart is inconceivable. It takes time for the heart to learn to defend itself and finally go on the offensive in order to restore peace and harmony between both. The mind locked in a physical structure called the brain. The brain as its mode of survival, often seeks toxins in an attempt to find itself and right the wrongs it so desperately has misinterpret or was it all too real for to it handle? They say the eyes don’t lie. And as I write this I realize a double meaning in it. Did your eyes really see what your mind thought it saw? or did you? Albert Einstein theorized that light can bend and therefore the planets and stars that we see in the night sky are not really in the position they appear to be. They also say look into you lovers eyes, for they shall not lie.
